Minolta Dimage Scan Dual II Slide and Negative Scanner

This is a Minolta Dimage Scan Dual II.  I am selling this used.  I have owned it for about 4 years.  I bought it just prior to going digital and used it to scan a lot of old negative film and slides.  I now have a Nikon Super Coolscan 4000 ED.  I have to say the only thing that makes the Nikon better is the included software which corrects for scratches and the negative film adapter and the speed it processes the scans.  If you are prepared to spend a bit of time getting a good scan on a particular slide, you can get some good quality pictures. So if you are looking for a cheap way of transferring your old slides to digital or, like me still like using slide film as well as digital, this is a good buy.  It does take time though.  However the quality is not quite as good as the best images I get from my Nikon D200 SLR.

There are no issues with this device and it works fine.  All the origional parts are present except the origional box.

There are adapters for Negative film, it takes film up to six frames long and for mounted negative slides, taking four slides at a time.

It will run on Windows 98 up to Windows Vista ( I have run it on Vista Home Premium).

The more Ram you have on your computer the quicker it will work.  1 GB is probably the minimum you would want to have as when I ran it on my old PC with 500 MB ram and then upgraded to 1 GB there was a significant increase in scanning speed.
