Thanks for taking the time out to have a look at my ebay item, here we have my yellow mini 25 which iv had for nearly a year, and what a year it has been! the condition of the car is good for its age. think its 24 years old. the car unfortunately isn't drivable tho, i bought this car in june last year for 940 quid off ebay, (not a good idea) anyway picking the car up and all was ok, apart from the fact that there was no oil in and the gearbox was grinding in third gear. couple of months later the engine went. the car has done 100,000 miles with the original engine so i was expecting it.
so i set about a 1275 conversion which took quite a while, so here is the current list of everything that i have done over the past 6 months!
(1275 block) brand new big end bearings honed and skimmed. *10 thou* brand new piston rings. Fully adjustable vernier duplex timing gear. Piper 286 camshaft. new cam followers (Gearbox) 998 Gearbox with standard 998 final drive central oil pickup Fully rebuilt Diff Uprated Diff pin (standard ones renown for splitting) Metro Turbo clutch lightweight flywheel (cylinder head) skimmed *15 thou* new valve guides fitted valves have been reground new valve stem seals across all 8 valves. new piper 200lb valve springs. ported and polished to a stage 3 standard. new push rods. aftermarket engine steady Copper head gasket. brand new 2.0inch sportex center exit exhaust new Lcb manifold. (suspension) 4 spaxs shocks Mini superlite alloys. (Interior) Minisport harness. Subaru impreza bucket seats (only drivers is attached) Sunpro gauges Oil pressure. Voltage. Amps. vacuum. water temp. Mountany steering wheel rev counter. both front and rear wheel bearings where replaced on the 17/03/2006 also it had a reconditioned alternator at the same date above.
(bad bits) n/s track rod end need fitting (i have the part) n/s bottom arm ball joint needs replacing (i have the part) water pumps leaking water the engine has started and has had good oil pressure it just ran abit on the rough side which is to be expected with it not being set up. the odd bits of rust here and there but no rot. bonnet could do with sorting as it is damaged but its usable. thats all i can think of at this moment! its cost me a fortune and i haven't enjoyed doing it much as i'm not going to put it back on the road. the car has no tax and the mot runs out on the 16th, but the car isn't drivable and would need to be trailered away preferably. I have every receipt of everything i have bought for the car, including the machine work done on the engine. and i also have the receipts from the previous owner. if you have a any quesions don't hesitate to send me an email.
