Milltown Brothers - Here I Stand (A&M AMX 758) 1991. Lilac Etched.
A band that I had the pleasure of seeing live in their home-town of Colne in Lancashire releasing their first E.P. "Coming From The Mill" in 1989. The second release "Which Way Should I Jump" was re-recorded when they signed with A&M and scored in the British chart at No.38, the first album "Slinky" followed and the single released from the album, this single "Here I Stand" was the theme from the T.V. series "Preston Front" and also charted at No.41, the last single from the album was "Apple Green" and also charted at No.43. The second album "Valve" was released in 1993, sadly not as commercially successful as the first, two singles were released from the album, again mopderate chart hits but the band left the label shortly after. They would not work together until 2004 when they released the album "Rubber Band" on their own label. This is the limited one-sided etched 12" on lilac vinyl and housed in its original printed plastic sleeve with insert.
