Xarisma Trading sell a selection of fully microwavable soft toys, perfect as a safe alternative to a hot water bottle on chilly nights (although they are so comforting that my children want them warmed as part of their bedtime routine regardless of the season).

Heat in the microwave for 2 minutes (the toys, not the children!), and they stay warm for up to 2 hours with no risk of scalding. They can also be frozen to use as a cold compress for bruises, sprains, or to cool a hot child.

The Cozy collection, Beddy Buddies and Sleepy Bears are all about 12” tall & 1kg in weight, made from very soft microwavable material, and designed to be exceptionally cuddly.  They contain treated wheat grains and dried French lavender flowers which give a gentle soothing fragrance to aid peaceful sleep and can be reheated many thousands of times.
