Microscope Slide: Microphoto, "Cupboard Love" Microphotograph by A. Reeve of what was obviously a moral Victorian painting entitled "Cupboard Love" and showing a military arm proffering a ring to a servant girl with, presumably, ulterior motives. I have not managed to find an artist for the original painting and, indeed, the microphotograph itself appears in only one of the catalogues I have available (Baker, 1862). The slide is in excellent condition with a crisp image, no deterioration of the mountant and a good, clean label. The "2/6", incidentally, refers back to Britain's pre-decimal currency and signifies "two shillings and sixpence". | | | POSTAGE Postage to United Kingdom addresses £1 Postage Outside the United Kingdom $5
