Hi, purchased by me from the Renault F1 team in 2002 via an Oxfam charity auction, this is a genuine F1 steering wheel supplied by Renault and from Michael Schumachers stint when driving the Benetton B193. With the steering wheel comes the original letter signed by Renault as a COA and a picture of Jenson Button and Jarno Trulli actually signing the steering wheel on the eve of the 2002 British GP in Silverstone. Since purchasing I have added the lighting plate and column thread you can see but these can easily be removed if the winning bidder wanted to wall mount the steering wheel. I know Personal who manufactured the steering wheel made a limited run of replicas to celebrate Michael winning the world championship, this is not a replica, this is actually one of the ones used and supplied by the team. Michaels steering wheel was blue and Johnny Herbert used a black one, hence how we know it was one supplied for Michael. The letter states: This letter states that the steering wheel bought in the 2002 Oxfam F1 auction is an original part produced by Personal for the Benetton B193 race car. The steering wheel has been signed by Jarno Trulli and Jenson Button on the eve of the 2002 British Grand Prix. The letter is signed by John Mardle, Operations Director. Please only bid to buy, no time waster and please check out my other auctions Many thanks |
