Well, the last of my beloved system goes up for auction.  This is the highly acclaimed Meridian 502 Analogue controller/ Pre Amplifier.  This is a fabulous amplifier in excellent condition, having been been carefully stored in my hi-fi rack in a pet/smoke free home.  Complete with original packing box and manual.  Also up for sale in different auctions are my Meridian 557 power amp which makes a perfect partner for this power amp (especially running in balanced mode) - and my Kimber Select balanced interconnect.

Please be advised that I have been asked whether my unit contains the optional MC input boards.  There are no markings on the unit that state these are fitted.  I ordered my unit from the Hi End in Barnes who put the order in direct to Meridian.  They did know I had a Roksan Xewrxes fitted with a Shiraz cartrdige at the time, although I was in the process of selling this.  I have requested Meridian to confirm or otherwise whether the optional dual mono MC/MM boards were fitted to my 502 or whether the unit can play vinyl without these (the manual is not clear on this last point).  Also, whether these are still available for purchase and await their reply. Unless I update this auction to the contrary please assume that the optional MC/MM input boards are NOT fitted and that either they, or a separate Phono Pre-amp, will be required to play vinyl.
