Mercian Fixed Gear Bike with beautiful custom paint-job

Mercian is based in Derby and handbuild all frames on premises. Paul Smith has one and they sell a Paul Smith signature bike.

One owner (me) since new. Frame bought in 1989, silver and pink custom respray in 1992, so only one like it in the world

Size 57cm seat tube (C-T), 56cm top tube (C-C), 14 cm head tube. So would suit approx 5'6" to 6'

Reynolds 653 tubing with beautiful lug-work and Campagnolo sliding dropouts (spring loaded adjustment screw)

Campag Athena Headset, Control Tech Stem, Cinelli Bars

Shimano Ultegra Chainset (42T to 17T sprocket)

Dave Hinde 700c 32H Mavic MA2 rim bolt-on Track Wheels

Vittoria Rubino Pro folding tyres (23mm) - Brand New

Bike is built as fixed gear, but frame has all fittings/braze-ons to convert back to a proper road bike

Frame is in good condition with no dents or damage etc. However it has a number of marks from stone chips, cable wear etc commensurate with age, which I have tried to show in some of the photos. These do not detract from the quality of the frame.

Please note that bike will not come with pedals or saddle as I am keeping these, and would also probably benefit from a 'fancier' chain and seatpin.
