Custom Meditation Cushions: You Choose Fabric

Enhance your sitting meditation with these handcrafted traditional meditation cushions, designed for comfort, stability, and durability. This set consists of two cushions: the traditional pleated zafu ("sewn seat") to provide you with support during zazen, and the zabuton ("floor pad") that goes underneath, to provide cushioning between your knees and the floor. These cushions together make a meditation practice much more comfortable, as they make it possible for Westerners to sit in half-or full-lotus posture without too much discomfort. These cushions are hand-made by me, from patterns I designed myself. They are guaranteed to provide you with years of use. I use the best and most high-quality materials I can obtain in order to provide you with the finest meditation products possible.
Your zafu will be covered with a sturdy cotton fabric, either canvas or twill, in a solid color that coordinates with your choice of print fabric for your zabuton cover. The zafu will be filled with organic buckwheat hulls. All my zafus are designed with velcro closures so that the amount of filling can be adjusted, and sewn-in handles for ease of transport. They feature triple-sewn seams for durability, and measure 15" by 7". The cover is washable with care (remove the buckwheat hulls first!!)
The zabuton will feature a matching twill or canvas fabric on the bottom, which I will select. The top of your zabuton will be covered in the fabric of your choice. Have a look at the pictures below to make your selection. The pictures represent a small sample of the many fabrics I have available, in a wide variety of colors, motifs, themes, and design elements. I have many Asian-themed fabrics, with dragons, cranes, flowers, kanji script, koi, etc., as well as hundreds of other fabrics in a rainbow of colors. The zabuton covers also have velcro closures, so that the covers can be removed for laundering. The cotton batting inside is enclosed in a separate muslin liner. The zabuton measures about 30 inches square, with a 3-inch loft.

Shipping will be via UPS Ground; Priority Mail or Parcel Post is also available for military addresses, PO boxes, and international shipments.
