Welcome to my listing for this gorgeous Medieval style dress costume, sewing pattern.

This is a Laura Marsh Designs original pattern and can only be purchased direct from myself.

The dress is a princess line dress with square neck detail. It is designed to be made out of crushed velvet fabric and a rich woven fabric such as taffeta or satin, although other fabrics can be used (non-stretch fabrics may require the use of a zipper or other back closure).

The dress features, deep bell sleeves, contrasting front panel, a square neck line, and front and back lacing for a corseting effect. The finished pattern length is 55inches although lengthening/shortening lines are included in the pattern.

As the dress has been designed to be made from a fabric with stretch, there are lacing loops that run down the back, to enable the dress to be tightened for a closer fit, if needed.

This dress will fit over a standard hoop skirt (110 - 120cm circumfrence) to give the A-line appearance of the images. A hoop skirt pattern is NOT included.

The Medieval style sleeves have a 25 inch drop, and are designed to cover the back of the hand.

To save you money this pattern will be sent on a CD in a digital format. This means you can use the pattern over and over again, without worrying about tearing or marking the pattern, so it’s ideal if you need to make any alterations, as if you make a mistake you can simply print another.

The patterns included are size 8–10, 12-14, 16-18 and 20-22 (see size chart below). These are FULL SIZE patterns (this is an all in one/multisized pattern so you can adjust the pattern should you be an inbetween size, and cut the size you need) , so there is no need to worry about enlarging or scaling up the patterns, all you have to do is print them off on A4 paper and assemble the pieces (full printing instructions are included) and cut out the size you need.

A brief overview on how to assemble the dress is included, as well as the images shown on the auction. I have included both colour and non-coloured images, which will enable you to colour them at home to test your colour schemes.

To keep the cost of the patterns down, I will not be sending the CD in a jewel case, the CD will arrive in a protective sleeve, which will be well packaged to ensure it is not damaged in transit, however you may wish to store the CD in a jewel case for future use.

The digital format of the patterns is readable on all computers, you will need to have pdf reading software installed on your PC to view the files. There are many free packages available, a popular one can be found on www.adobe.com, although you may wish to find one which suits you, Microsoft also offer free pdf reading software.

I ship using Royal Mail for most items, unless it's very heavy (see item for details).

For all dresses I will ship via Special Delivery or Recorded First Class, and International Signed For or Airsure for overseas buyers. Other items are normally sent first or second class post. All items of high value are insured with the postal service used. Any other shipping questions, please email me.
