Dear Customer,

100% Pure Mawata Silk Square hankies. These are very fine and soft and really are a top quality of silk Mawata.

 

This sale is for 10g (approx. 10 layers) Mawata silk hankie, made from silk cocoons stretched into squares over a frame. These are gossamer thin silk layers made into squares.

 

Dye them, then you can separate the layers, each layer will be slightly different. Spin them, or use them in your felts, silk paper and fibre creations.

 

These are approx. 10 1/2 by 10 1/2 inches, or 26.5 x 26.5cm. You will find that they are gently wrinkled when you buy them, but I have taken a flat measurement. Please note that measurements may vary slightly from hankie to hankie due to the way they are produced.

 

Please note that these are not normal hankies you buy from clothing stores and are aimed at fibre arts (mixed media), not traditional batik or silk painting.

 

Please note that colours may vary slightly from the picture below. This is due to photographic colour representation differences.
