Superb and massive Arts & Crafts copper bowl by Omar Ramsden.

This is a stunning copper bowl with crenelated edge and central border and hand hammered finish.

The signs of the zodiac are elaborately chased all the way round the upper part of the bowl in superb detail and clearly demonstrating the craftsmanship for which Omar Ramsden has become so famous and amongst the most collected silvermiths of the period.

The bowl is of monumental size being 12 inches / 305 mm in diametre and standing 7-1/2 inches / 190 mm high.

This is an extremely heavy bowl also weighing 2,650 grams, over 2-1/2 kilos.

The bowl was made circa 1920 and the underside is engraved ''Omar Ramsden Me Fecit'' (Omar Ramsden made me).
