Shiatsu is a Japanese massage technique in which finger pressure on specific bodily sites is used to promote healing, alleviate fatigue and soothe.
Those bodily sites are known as meridian points. Massaging these meridian points redistributes, unblocks and rebalances the dispersal of energy throughout the body. Shiatsu doesn't require creams and oils and so can be highly effective through clothing and, as it has an accumulative effect, regular massages can ease and potentially cure many pains and conditions. |

Kneading
A massage therapist would use the fingers and thumbs in a squeezing action to knead. The MassageMaster mimics this by using the 'heads' to roll, with differing pressure, horizontally and vertically all over the back. |
