"We went from London and including England, visited 10 countries. We stopped in Austria for a few days, Croatia for a week and then Switzerland for a few days. We kind of camped, but the easy way; we booked mobile homes. It gives us room to spread out and if kit gets wet, space to dry it. It also gives me space for shoes ! Taking a tent is problematic, as I ride pillion, so we have one motorcycle containing two sets of luggage. The single portions certainly saved space and weight as we did a lot of one night stops. We had to carry enough food for 4 days at a time; only porridge, noodles, soup and couscous were really possible, weight-for-food-value. I am not exaggerating when I say we had earnest discussions about how we were looking forward to adding a Nutella chocolate spread portion to our morning porridge! It was lovely. The only criticism I have is that the packaging design made it very hard to lick every single bit of Nutella from the blister pack   ;-)) The Marmite portion was consumed with the very first bit of bread we had after 12 days.
