You are bidding on a very old manuscript. It is a leaf from a Book of Hours in Latin on vellum. Calligraphic versal initials in red ink. It says France? c. mid 15th century. This is what it reads on the back of the framed manuscript. It also says this is an original page from the midevil Book of Hours. The manuscript itself measures 3-1/4" wide and 5" tall. It is in a 13-3/4" x 15-3/4" frame. Frame matting is in really nice condition. Was framed at the Harvard Coop in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I know nothing about the origins. On the information tag on the back it reads Iluminated Manuscript. It reads that illuminated manuscripts are books that have been written and decorated by hand in the middle ages. Manuscripts were written and painted on parchment vellum, made from animal skins. It says the handwritten text were created by Scribes. Very nice piece of old religious manuscript. See scan below for details.

I am not responsible for, and will not accept responsibility for, items lost or damaged in transit. As well, I am not responsible for delivery transit time. Parcel Post is inexpensive, but the drawback is that packages can take a long time to reach their destinations. I encourage all buyers to use Priority Mail with Insurance, and only offer Parcel Post for its cost effectiveness.
