Male Nude Torso Wood Wooden Sculpture; Signed

This sculpture emphasizes the relation between man and nature. The male nude is part of the water falls and mountains, or, he ís the landscape itself. The complex shapes and lines form all round the sculpture, naturally come together in a nude bottom figure.

Elwin de Wolf was born in The Netherlands, where he is currently working as sculptor. His works are carved and polished by hand and are therefore very labour intensive. He preferrably works in classical materials such as wood and stone. His work is nature inspired and expresses the relation between Man / Human Society and Nature. Unlike many other contemporary art, he does not critisize society. Instead, art should be about beauty and happiness, taking the viewer into a Higher World.
The sculptures are constructed of complex curves, forms and lines and do not have a front and back (contact the artist for more pictures). Sculptures are tactile and to be touched. Elwin de Wolf was educated as sculptor in the period 2000 - 2004 in The Netherlands. His work is exhibited a.o. in the kunstenart.com gallery and in gallery "De Boomgaard".
