I have had this GPS for a number of years now. It was originally bought from ebay, so there it returns! It is a rugged servicable unit. I use a TomTom now, so have no need of this item and a map to tell me where I am!
It is quite a conveinient unit as it takes standard AA batteries.
It is pretty much waterproof having been designed with the marine user in mind.
I've used this for walking around the welsh hills.
There is a lot of free software available I believe.
The manual can be found
