1954 Murphy Radio Ltd, Uk mains radio model (type) U198M. Serial number 222949.

Long Wave and Medium Wave band receiver. 200 -250 volts AC or DC. On/off + volume knob and tuning knob on the front; wave band change lever on the back.

 Dimensions:- 27cm wide; 17cm high; 13.5cm deep. Weight approx 2.6 kilo.

Condition

The radio is not working. Appears to be complete but needs attention and a clean. The tuning stations window is pushed in a little on the right hand side and has dropped slightly. When turned the tuning knob does move the station indicator across the dial. Small chip in the casing front top right hand side. Small piece of the back cover missing top right hand.

Useful item for collector, enthusiast or perhaps those creating a retro 1950s scene.
