This is a very pretty cream jug, produced in Devon by the Aller Vale pottery. This piece of motto ware features the decorated designs usually found on older pieces, whereas most modern pieces feature cottages. The motto on this piece reads "Take A Little Cream". The jug stands a little over 2" high and has a maximum diameter of 2 1/2", plus the handle. The jug is in excellent, undamaged, condition. The makers marks are clearly seen on the base.
