  The Motorola E8 ROKR

Once in a while a new handset appears which just jumps out from the crowd, and the Motorola E8 is one such handset. The unusual eye-catching design with widescreen format screen has no obvious keypad as such, just a touch panel that is invisible when not in use and lights up in one of three modes - phone, camera and music player - icons changing to suit the need. The raised dots on the panel let you know what you are pressing without the need to look at the phone, with a vibration (known as haptic feedback) giving the impression of a physical button press though the panel never actually moves!

It's also a talking phone and can read out menu selections, contacts etc. This function can be disabled if you prefer.
 
This handset is designed primarily designed for music, and the sound is absolutely superb. A standard 3.5mm headphone socket and stereo FM radio is included and you also get a 2 megapixel camera with 8 x zoom and video recording, Crystaltalk sound technology for crystal clear conversations and flight mode which allows you to use the mp3 music player, radio or camera on a plane or in a hospital for example.

The unique touch-sensitive backlit "Omega" scroll wheel helps you scroll through the menu functions, and a physical lock button is included to prevent accidental key presses. You also get 2GB built-in memory which is expandable via the MicroSD card slot, which accepts cards up to 4GB.

Offered here unlocked for use on any network, this quadband handset will accept any sim card almost anywhere in the world! This award-winning handset won't be for everyone, but if you like something a little different from the usual you might just be interested in the E8!
