TITLE.     STILL LIFE WITH RED CANDLE

DESCRIPTION.  A vibrant  colourful expressionistic watercolour  on paper by British  twentieth century artist  Moira Huntly.  She is well collected and sought after and her paintings are rising in value all the time. 

A gallery price for a signed work this size  like this would be £1.5k+ and her works sell well. 

This is a lovely example of her work - it is a highly commercial piece.  A top class still life  watercolour from the President of the Pastel Society. Stunning colour  - a very nice painting, painted in a Cubist style with references and affinity to Braque Picasso and Leger in the early twentieth century.

CONDITION.
Watercolour and ink on paper.  Image size 50cm by 36cm and in excellent condition.


FRAME.   Housed in original gallery wooden frame  72cm by 60cm.

BIOGRAPHY  Moira Huntly  RI PPS RSMA RWA was born in Motherwell. She studied at the Harrow School of Art and Hornsey College of Art.She works in acrylics, pastels, oils and watercolours. Moira has recently been elected President of the Pastel Society and is also an elected member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, the Royal West of England Academy and the Royal Society of Marine Artists. She has received many prestigious awards and has exhibited extensively in both solo and selected group exhibitions. Her work can be found in both private and public collections in this country and abroad. Her publications include "Painting in Mixed Media" "Learn to Paint Gouache" "Learn to Draw Boats" and "The Artist's Drawing book".
