This is a very interesting little handmade box of tiny polished thin bovine bone dominoes.  The little mahogany box is beautifully made and has a little sliding lid.  On the inside of the lid it says "A. D. 1880".  On the base of the box it says "A. Drysdale August 5 80".  There are 28 tiny hand crafted dominoes. It is likely that a prisoner of war or a sailor made them.  The box measures approx. 2 1/2 inxches x 3/4 inch x 7/8 inch (6cm x 1.8cm x 2.3cm).  Each domino measures approx.5/8 inch x 3/8 inch (1.5cm x 0.9cm).  There is a thin sliver of wood missing from the very top edge of the box, please see photograph.  Otherwise, this really special little collectable item is in very good condition.  Thank you for looking, please browse through my other items currently on offer.
