Before he joined The Monkees and after he played Corky in the "Circus Boy" TV Series,Mickey Dolenz had tried to make it in pop music.He worked on learning the guitar and was in bands like Micky & The One Nighters and The Missing Links.They played a few dates in the L.A area,but were never able to score a record deal.However,Dolenz did get to cut a couple of singles for the Los Angeles-based Challenge label,founded by cowboy star Gene Autrey and known for his hits by The Champs and Jerry Wallace.These two tracks are the A sides of the two Dolenz singles."Don't Do It" originally issued in 1966 as Challenge 59353 and "Huff Puff" in 1967 on Challenge 59372.
