This beautiful piece of artwork was discovered in our attic when we decided to convert our loft. The previous owner, sadly deceased, travelled extensively before and during WWII and we believe it was around this time that he acquired her. We would love to display it in our home but it unfortunately is not in keeping with our decor. We think that it would look very impressive hung on any wall and receive the attention and applause that it deserves. It measures 88 by 51 cms and features a voluptuous African Lady striking an uplifting and confident pose. The piece appears to be crafted by being beaten into relief from a single sheet of metal. As can be seen from the photographs. The figure is made up of a variety of earth and copper hues and we can only imagine took some considerable time to create. The lighter marks to the rear are solder, but these are not visible from the front, and were presumably to fill in holes on the metal. This is a unique piece of indeterminate age. Please ask any questions you wish. Good luck!
