The National Literacy Strategy is at the heart of the drive to raise standards in schools.
These magnetic word sets contain the first 45 high frequency words which children are expected to know both in and out of context by the end of their Reception year (age 5). You can stick them on the fridge/freezer or on a magnetic board within easy reach of your child so that they can become familiar and play with these important words.
These Mega Size magnets are approx 4x bigger than in the standard pack, making them ideal for use with groups of children e.g. teachers, learning support assistants, tutors, home educators or for with younger children.

These wipe-clean magnets offer a fun way of learning the essential words and are chunky enough for little fingers to grasp. Handling the tiles also helps a child’s fine motor skills, which will ultimately make it easier for them to control a pen for writing.
When children play with these magnetic words, they don’t realise that they are learning.

Me as a Mother - My Personal Experience
I bought a set of standard-sized Reception magnetic words for our daughter’s 4th birthday in July 2005 - primarily for her to play with when we were away on holiday in a caravan. She recognised some of the words and was enthralled when I arranged them into a sentence. "I can read it," she squealed in delight and the thrill of success fired her enthusiasm. With our help, she learnt all the unfamiliar words by including them one at a time in sentences with the words she already knew. By the time she started in reception class in the September, she had learnt all 45 words and was even making up her own sentences. She has also been copying the words and sentences using a pen and paper. Without knowing it, she had also learnt sentence construction, grammar and correct letter formation - all whilst having fun.
She soon started 'playing' with the magnetic words for Years 1&2 (also available in my Ebay shop).
As a Mother, I cannot recommend these magnetic words highly enough. They have fired a love for reading and writing in my daughter that I’m sure will be of benefit to her for many years.

1st class and Registered (signed for)

Sadly, due to a few dishonest buyers, claims for non-delivery of goods (i.e. lost in the post) will no longer be automatically replaced / refunded. However, I obtain proof of posting for all orders and will work with the Post Office to locate your missing goods or obtain compensation from them on your behalf. Please be reassured that I will do everything I can to ensure you receive what you have paid for.
Items are dispatched most weekdays (family life permitting!)
If you pay for an item before 1pm I can
sometimes dispatch the same day.
I rarely get to the Post Office on Saturday mornings so if you buy an item on Friday afternoon, please note that it may not be posted until Monday morning.

your registered PayPal address unless previously agreed otherwise. If this address is incorrect and the item is returned as undelivered you will have to pay
