Description

TIBETAN SINGING BELLS/ HEALING BOWLS AUDIO CD
15 MINUTE INTERVALS
THIS CD IS THE PERFECT BACKGROUND FOR MEDITATION
0NE BELL IS SOUNDED EVERY 15 MINUTES, ALLOWING YOU TO 'STRETCH' OR BE AWARE OF TIME PASSING WITHOUT THE DISTURBANCE OF A TRADITIONAL CLOCK
3 BELLS ARE SOUNDED AT THE END OF THE CD
(ONE HOUR HAS PASSED)
Can also be used to introduce you, peacefully, to your morning routine - play the cd and you will be aware of 15 minutes passing - without the stress & annoyance of a traditional clock or phone alert - how irritating is the 'snooze button' when you know you can't snuggle in again, but can't really face getting up just yet...
The only other sound on this cd is the ripplind and trickling of the wild (UK) mountain streams, pure waters, no music apart from the 15 minute bells, no voices or birds - one bell at the start of the cd up to the third bell at 45 minutes then 3 bells at one hour...the faint ambience of the water trickling at the rivers edge...
Singing bowls (also known as 'Himalayan bowls' or 'rin gongs' in Japan) are a type of bell, specifically classified as a standing bell. Rather than hanging inverted or attached to a handle, standing bells sit with the bottom surface resting. The sides and rim of singing bowls vibrate to produce sound. Singing bowls were traditionally used throughout Asia as part of Buddhist meditation practice. Today they are used worldwide for meditation, relaxation, healthcare, personal well-being and religious practice.

Singing bowls were historically made in Tibet, Nepal, India, Bhutan, China, Japan and Korea. Today they are made in Nepal, India, Japan and Korea. The best known type are from the Himalayan region and are often called "Tibetan singing bowls."
