If ever you needed proof that there are good quality
clubs at a sensible price, this is it. You might not see
the world’s top players using them but then MD Golf
don’t pay millions for endorsements. They do,
however, concentrate on producing equipment
which rivals the best by using top quality
components and some of the latest technology.
At a price where it’s easy to copy other hot designs
the guys at MD Golf should be applauded for
producing an honest, high-quality club which
would help improve the average club player.
The OS has a steel shaft which is widely used on
Tour and a top-quality Lamkin grip. The big, chunky,
shiny, forged heads will catch the eye and they use
enough technology in their deep cavity, perimeter weighted
design to minimise the effects of mis-hits.
The discerning better player might not warm to the
offset oversize heads, but we found them very
forgiving and solid, producing a nice powerful ball
flight. With a standard width sole it’s easy to pick
shots cleanly off bare lies and get the ball airborne
as the steel shaft can be quite demanding. Well
worth a look if you want a nice forgiving set of
forged bats which compete with the best.
