It became known as the "Silk Road", after trade with China during the Han dynasty, introduced silk to the western peoples. The condition of these beads is mostly good, showing great age and wear overall, about 4 to 6 mm in diameter and from 6 to 11 mm in length, dating from about the second to first millenium BC, more or less. This nicely matched group of beads would make a fabulous necklace or bracelet project.. Most photographs have been enlarged to show details, so items may appear larger than their actual size.
