The first part (page 7 - 72) contains old black and white images that show the town and the folk who lived there in days gone by.

The second part (pages 73-88) contains colour images depicting the town and local residents from time of publication (2001)

Each image is accompanied by a substantial informative text and it all adds up to a fascinating record of the town from the 1880s onwards
