MASSIVE VICTORIAN MAHOGANY INLAID JEWELLERY BOX

 

 

You are bidding on a VERY LARGE mid Victorian restored and repolished mahogany mother of pearl inlaid jewellery box in excellent condition.

There is only one small veneer repair that was carried out a long time ago to the bottom front corner and that blends in well and in no way detracts from this huge box. There is also a small nibble at the back bottom corner, which is easily missed. Other than it’s in excellent condition.

Box closes true and square.

 

MEASURES 17 INCHES LONG 

 

Box retains the original lock, brass hinges, and top catch.

Comes complete with a Victorian key that is decorative only.

 

The interior boasts the original wooden tray . This has been relined in expensive velvet material of the highest quality, the same as the interior of the box.

The three in tray runners have the added advantage of being able to be either removed or repositioned, to take rings or selective pieces of jewellery.

An outstanding box and one that you will not be disappointed with.
