This car is a Quattroporte IV V8 manual which I have to sell due to a company car requirement.
In the year it was sold, this was the fastest four door car in the world; 170mph and 5.7s 0-60 so its not for the feint-hearted. If you are reading this, I guess you know this already - so I will stick to the distinctive bits on this example.
This car is one of the last pre-evolution V8s, which means that it has the more attractive interior including the infamous 24ct gold and enamel inlaid clock. It has active suspension and the 17" alloys. The total right hand drive production of this model was 32 vehicles and I understand that only two in this colour (Rosso Madeira) were imported into the UK. The other example is an automatic, meaning that this one (which has the 6 speed Getrag manual 'box) is unique. The car has appeared in "Trident" a couple of times and the photographs show it at Auto Italia last month.
The car has a Full Maserati Service History and had a full service from a Ferrari/Maserati main dealer last month. The interior is in excellent condition, but the bodywork will soon need attention as it has started to blister at the wheel arches, particularly the o/s/r which you can see in the pictures. I have also just cracked the n/s/r brake light and scratched the boot- again see picture.
I note that this car also just predates the new CO2 tax banding and so will remain cheap to tax!
Happy bidding, this is a unique opportunity to own a very special car at a bargain price.
