Lovely pre-war mat from J.L.Marsh & Sons, Blandford

BBCS Cat No.1

This lovely example of the only known mat issued by the Marsh Brewery is in mint condition.

The mat is printed on just the one side, and is made of the thick board typical of pre-war mats.

It is circular, with a diameter of 10.8cm.

J.L.Marsh & Sons was taken over by Simonds of Reading in 1939, and later sold to Brutton Mitchell & Toms (from Somerset) in 1950. Bruttons in turn was taken over by Charrington in 1961.
