MARKEL SIX BULB DINING ROOM SLIP SHADE CHANDELIER

The Vintage Lighting & Fan Shoppe is proud to offer another quality restoration from our workshop. This listing is for a six bulb slip shade chandelier that was made in the 1930`s by Markel. This fixture has been completely restored by a qualified lampsmith, please see my ME page for my qualifications and the methods required to obtain a professional quality restoration. The fixture has been hand refinished in the original nickel and gold paint,  it measures 17 inches across with the shades installed and the drop is 31 inches, links can be added or removed to suit your needs and it can be converted to a semi-flush mount fixture if you have shorter ceilings. The fixture has received new UL appoved sockets, wiring and 3 way switch, all new hardware including the chain, a new crossbar and mounting screws are also included plus it comes with the ground wire required to meet current building codes so it is ready for immediate installation by your electrician. The 3 way switch allows you to turn on just the bottom light, just the five outer lights or all six lights at once (see photos), perfect for use over the dining table. The white frosted shades are in great condition with no cracks or repairs, just the small chips normally found on 70 year old slip shades.
