WE ARE PLEASED TO OFFER THIS MAP OF SHREWSBURY & OSWESTRY INCLUDING CHIRK, ELLESMERE, GLYN CEIROG, PANT, PONTESBURY & WELSHPOOL FOR THE YEARS 1833 - 1838 SHEET 126 This map is based on Britain's first national mapping project, Ordnance Survey's One-Inch (‘Old Series’) maps which were first published between 1805 and 1874. They have all been carefully scanned, digitally re-projected and enlarged to match the present-day Ordnance Survey Landranger® series. Each map is directly comparable with the corresponding Ordnance Survey Landranger® and uses the same sheet number and grid references, so enabling the past and the present to be compared with ease and accuracy. All the Old Series maps of England & Wales (123 in all) have now been published & are all available from Generations Gone By.

THE PAPER AREA WHEN OPENED FLAT IS 1,000MM X 890 MM OR 39.38 INCHES THEREFORE ABOUT 3FT.2 ACROSS BY 35.4 INCHES, SO JUST A FRACTION UNDER 3FT FROM TOP TO BOTTOM.
THE ACTUALLY MAPPING AREA IS 800MM X 800MM SO ABOUT 31 INCHES SQUARE (2.62 FT) AND THE MAP SCALE IS ONE INCH TO THE MILE.

Please note that we are offering you several Postage Options including "Recorded Signed For" naturally this runs out a little more, however it is something that we would always recommend.
If you choose not to take the"Recorded Signed For" option & it vanishes in the mail then we shall take no responsibility for replacing it (Apart from if you agree to pay for another copy) this is also subject to stock availability, you may have to wait a little while for a replacement.
We have had to take these measures as it is a well known fact that mail goes missing & after all once we hand it over to the Post Office we have done our job! it's then down to Royal Mail.
