The magnesium will be sent in a crushproof package. It will arrive through your letter box and no signature is needed.

The ribbon is 4mm wide and is sent coiled up.It is quite flexible and is easily cut up and can even be torn into smaller pieces.

MAGNESIUM AND ITS USES.

It is a silvery metal which is even lighter than aluminium. Although it is reactive it is safe to hold, but if it is being burned it must be held with tongs because of the intense heat generated.

It can be used

-as a fuse for igniting thermite mixture.

-in pyrotechnics.

                   -as an intense light source in photography.

-to light campfires in damp conditions. The white ash it produces is non-toxic.

-to produce hydrogen, using acid. If you can`t get lab. acids, citric acid is good and even vinegar will do.

-to prevent rusting/corrosion by fixing it to a metal object with metal to metal contact.
