The SureStart Crib Mattress is 5cm deep standard crib mattresses are only 3cm deep

The mattress cover is Safetex Plus - Safetex Plus is a water-resistant breathable fabric

The foam used is CMHR35 this is a Class S combustion modified foam conforms to BS3379
Most crib mattresses Should be made at best from 25 weight foam but some selling on here  on here even less!!

This foam crib mattress does not contain any added antimony or phosphorous as advised by SIDS

The stockinet internal cover is provided for ease of removing the Top Cover- reduces "foam grip"   This is a godsend when you come to wash the cover  you wont be fighting with it when you are putting it back on

Creates a healthy sleeping environment

Offers maximum protection against dust mites

Limits heat build-up and condensation

Fine filament acts as a super filter allowing air to pass through

Zipped cover - can be Machine washed at 60° C  you have to be able to wash a cover at 60°c to kill the dust mites

As well as SafeTex being breathable and water resistant it will also prevent a single fibre(even the size of a hair)penetrating from core of the Mattress and getting through to Your Baby
