Lovely old vintage stool, bags of character. It has a hole in the centre and a smaller dish cut out of one side. I bought this in an antique shop in Tetbury and it was labelled as a "thingy" and to date thats the best description I can come up with! I have put it down as Edwardian but it could easily be Victorian or later 20th Century.
Measures 36cm high, 59cm at longest point, 28cm at deepest point.
It has a lovely patina and lots of great worn holes and cuts that look like it might have been used as a butchers block at one point, or for crafts??? Anyone who has any better ideas please let me know. Looks great next to a fire place or as a side table, you could put a plant in the hole or leave it as a conversation piece. Very interesting and unique, haven't seen one of these before.
A great edition to a vintage interior or country cottage.
