The Squeezebox 3 incorporates Logitech’s fourth generation hardware. Features and most technical specifications are identical to that of the Squeezebox2. A new board and chassis design are used, as well as a new remote. With the introduction of the "Duet" Squeezebox 3 was renamed "Squeezebox Classic".

The stock Squeezebox Classic is a convenient niche product with decent mid-fi sound. If you are seeking the finest audio performance from your Squeezebox then our range of upgrades will take it several notches up the sonic ladder, with statement level upgrades elevating performance to be on par with high quality Red Book CD.

Once upgraded the Squeezebox Classic benefits from reduced noise, the overall presentation is cleaner, more open, with a marked reduction in digital artefacts such as glare and harshness. Detailing and dynamics are improved, the music gains substance and depth with low frequencies benefiting from increased weight with the highs sounding sweeter, more natural.

There are numerous setup options with the Squeezebox, the choice of using the integrated line-out or adding a separate DAC, using the switching power supply or adding a higher grade linear, etc. We have a range of modifications to suit individual setup and budget, with the optional extra of Deep Cryogenic Processing (DCT).

How to Order

The Squeezebox 3 Classic Level-2 digital upgrade is supplied & installed by Audiocom for £299.00 inclusive (excludes carriage).

Once you have purchased the Squeezebox upgrades please contact us to schedule and book your player for the installation. The modification work is completed within 1-2 weeks from receipt of the player.
