Well I will try again! Got home today to find somone had ended the listing. Apparently I have been phished and someone else has had access to my account! Thats just GREAT after ebay cancelling it the first time.

Well up for grabs is my new built Locost, it has been on the road for just two weeks and on ebay for just 6 hours, before being removed by ebay for breach of rules. Pay again and relist arrrrg! Sorry to every one that asked questions and especially to the people that had bid.

It was built in my workshop by myself. I am a Blacksmith by trade and do a lot of welding and fabrication. I have also been involved with motor sport for over ten years and have built numerous cars.

The chassis is space frame, constructed predominantly from 1”and ¾” box making it both strong and very light. The chassis has been tig welded. A very slow and laborious process, but as some of you may know it is the best and strongest way to weld.

The nose cone and rear arches are Robin Hood parts, the front wings are Westfield because I like the shape of them. The rest of the panels are ally or stainless steel and produced by me.

The donor car was a Ford Capri from which most of the mechanical parts come from, with the exception of the front hubs that are Sierra, allowing for bigger vented brakes.

The engine is a 2L pinto and is excellent. I have fitted a new twin barrel Weber 38 dgms carb. Apart from that it is standard.

The gear box is a 4 speed rocket box, which is the preferred box for racing as the ratios are close. It is also smaller and lighter than a type 9.

The rear axle is the incredibly strong atlas type as found in the 2.8 Capri.

Car has five spoke alloy wheels that are brand new and is shod with new yokohama tyres, about as good as you could get!

The car benefits from a full roll cage with door bars which is constructed from cold drawn seamless tube, as required for MSA approval.

The suspension is fully adjustable Gaz coil overs on the front and Spax on the back.

Car doesn’t need an MOT until it is a year old and has 6 months tax. It also has an age related plate.

So in summary, this car has all the right bits in all the right places and has not been built by an idiot! It handles like nothing else and accelerates like a bike. Could be used as a very fast road car or a track/sprint car, you decide!

I am selling it as I am already half way through the next one. The building is the bit I enjoy!

I am not worried how the car is paid for, but of course it won’t go anywhere til funds have cleared. Cash on collection is accepted.
