Original Nineteenth Century pencil drawing of a beautiful Scottish landscape: Loch Achtay set against a dramatic mountainous backdrop. This is a subtle and atmospheric picture with a flowing, rhythmic style of drawing and is signed S. Smith. The drawing is a vignette set into a decorative gold border on card as a souvenir. The whole thing seems to be sealed in a transparent coating for protection. A hand written inscription on the drawing reads: ' Lady of the Lake. Loch Achtay The Trosacks Benvenue'. This is an original drawing set into a printed decorative border as can be seen in Picture 2. The whole thing measures 27.7cm x 24.7cm and the drawing sheet measures 17.4cm x 11cm.
