Living Control has added even more performance to the ultra-reliable MusicBox platform, widely acknowledged as the ‘Bentley’ of the digital home server world. The new super-fast MusicBox5 gives you five completely independent outputs, which means that family and friends can listen to five different songs in as many rooms at the same time! It’s the equivalent of having five separate music systems playing simultaneously around the home - without the hassle of having to share your space with five dust-hugging sets of boxes and the clutter of wires, discs and remotes that goes with them. The new MusicBox5 is fitted with a fan-cooled 400GB hard-drive and equipped with the latest high-speed/low-noise digital technology of the kind used by high quality single-disc CD players. It can store over 1200 CDs using lossless FLAC compression and over 600 uncompressed CDs for ‘audiophile’ standards of replay resolution. At maximum compression, it holds nearly 7000 CDs! The MusicBox5 now ships with NT system control as standard and when combined with a compatible System Controller allows full control of a Living Control system from a Pocket PC, Nokia N800 or N810 web tablet, PC or Mac. The MusicBox5 now has enhanced software which includes intuitive TV and PC GUIs, enhanced iPod® support for true synchronisation, auto media import (from DVD, CD or PC) and easy remote control operation. Upgradable to over 2TB internally, the new MusicBox5 also offers a seamless backup option with the MusicBox backup drive.

The new features make it even easier to appreciate MusicBox5’s precise bit-for-bit transfer and class-beating upload speeds. Within minutes, CDs are available in all their dynamic quality anywhere in the home. Titles and track listings are edited and stored automatically and appear on ColourPads, VideoPads or DisplayPads instantaneously. Download music from the Internet, share it with your iPod and take it with you through MusicBox5’s mobile play-list feature. High quality audio has never been easier to experience or more accessible.
