New work 2006. Historically platinum-palladium photographs, due to technical reasons (ie the use of slow large format equipment) have always been depicting still subjects, such as architectural, still life or classic studio portraiture and nudes. With this picture, quite unusual for a platinotype, I wanted to bring a bit of movement to this static world, with something more dynamic. The print shows great details and long tonal scale, and a wonderful play of sharp/blurred areas, almost resembling a painting - please see also the details below.

Cranes Crest watercolour paper brush coated with platinum-palladium, numbered, dated, signed and mounted to museum standards. Edition of twenty-four prints only in three tiers, the price will raise as the edition sells. After twenty-four prints the negative will be retired.

Images size is 8x10 inch, mounted to 13x15" (16x20" mounting is also available and highly recommended - please see Seller's Store) and bevel window overmatted with Colourmount 100%25 cotton mountboard.

About the artist:
Luca Paradisi is an Italian fine art photographer living and working in Ireland since late 1999. He is interested in art expressed through the photographic medium. Subjects include the Irish landscape as well as still life and more conceptual work. Being an experienced photographer and printmaker for over fifteen years, he is at ease with many different equipment and printing techniques. Prints are made traditionally (platinum-palladium) and digitally (pigmented inks on archival paper), always to the highest standards of quality and permanency. Luca's gallery quality prints have been locally published and adorn many premises and homes throughout Ireland, in Europe and overseas, where he has many collectors. His work can be seen at all the major art events in the SouthWest of Ireland, at his West Cork studio, and on his two web sites. Luca does not mass produce his prints and since most of them are limited editions his work is quite rare and in high demand. Since June 2003 a part of it is also being offered at a special price here on eBay, where it has received a warm welcome with over 800 prints sold with 100%25 positive feedback, mostly from repeat buyers, fine art photographers and art collectors.
