Lise B Moorcroft multi-glaze lustre Flying Fish Platter

An absolutely super Lise B Moorcroft red multiglaze and lustre square slightly dished plate on a circular raised foot, the lustre makes this item very difficult for me to photograph but I've done my best to show the wonderful oily effects and colours as accurately as possibly, signed in slip "2003 Lise B Moorcroft", 24cm - 9½" square and 2.5cm - 1" deep approx. Guaranteed in perfect condition free of chips, cracks or repairs. I also have available a large ovoid vase in the same design with similar glaze effects.

While not directly associated with the factory, Lise is the fourth generation of Moorcroft artist/potter, the youngest daughter of Walter Moorcroft and grand-daughter of William who founded the Moorcroft works. "Lise works in her studio based in Stoke-on-Trent, in the heart of the Potteries in Central England. Lise is the fourth generation potter from the Moorcroft family. It is plain to see in each piece the family heritage and unique skills. Lise's process is all created by hand....."
