Lise B. Moorcroft 'Blue Poppies' Vase
This absolute little gem is by Lise B. Moorcroft, granddaughter of world famous William and daughter of Walter Moorcroft. She is the last Moorcroft of that dynasty producing tube-line designs today.
I would first like to say, that I have no idea what this design actually is, but with blue poppies on it, it only seemed sense. I have researched and researched and can find no others like this. It really is a rare piece.
So, this is a blue poppy Baulster Vase, measuring around the 16cms in height and with a base diameter of 5cms. The vase depicts two groups of poppy flowers: one each on opposite sides to each other. Each has a fully opened flower, in all its glory and there are three buds scattered about per group. Stylised blue and sea-green leaves conclude the group.
The ground is a warm cream colour featuring a very delicate pearlescent shimmer to it. The same blue as is used on the flowers finishes off the base and inside the rim. The difference in ground colour in the photos is just my shadow, so do not worry. The base features markings that you can see in the photos.
There is not a mark, chip, nibble or any damage whatsoever, and I would go as to say MINT condition. Although I have listed it as 'used', it is fairly obvious that it has never seen any water or use!!
I have never seen one like this before so it really is a little beauty.
This was originally listed at £375, now reduced to £275 but sensible offers will be considered, as it is not to our taste.

We always package well, as we too get upset and cross if items arrive battered and bruised. We are recyclers, so items may arrive in an odd array of boxes, but ultimately their safe journey is our aim!!
