Modern diesel engines fitted with aluminium cylinder heads can suffer from distortion of the injector seating area causing the injector to leak. This unique tooling is specially designed for reseating the injectors with out any major expense or removing the cylinder head.
There is a special attachment which screws into the heater plug thread before being attached to an air line. This ensures the small particals of swarf created whilst using the seat cleaning tool don't enter the cylinder.
The cleaning/machining tool removes only a small amount of the seating area. This is operated with a ratchet spanner which is included in the kit.
Usually with this kit, you are able to re use the affected injector as the kit has another special tool for the final reseating of the injector itself.
