Antique French Brass Empire Style Table Lamp

This is a lovely old French table lamp with classical fluted central column. It is of good age, probably late C19th or early C20th. It has great patina and colour.

It is in full working order as you can see from the photo's. It is fitted with a twin-core cable and a French two pin plug which you may need to change.

It is of good quality and is heavy with a weighted base. All in nice condition, just a couple of insignificant hairline cracks in the central column.

The shade has a few marks and a small dint but is still in useable condition.

Payment

We are pleased to accept payment by Paypal, we also accept personal cheques from UK buyers in pounds sterling and payment by bankers draft subject to prior approval and at our discretion. Buyers from outside the UK should pay by Paypal unless prior arrangements are agreed. Items are not shipped until we are in receipt of cleared funds.

Postage and Insurance

We ship worldwide, if shipping costs are not quoted to your country please e-mail for a cost. Shipping costs quoted in the listing are usually for priority airmail from France using Colissimo (part of the French post office) with online tracking included. Items under 2kg packed weight are sometimes shipped by standard airmail and in this case insurance is not available. Insurance does not cover glass but does cover for loss in transit. Economy shipping rates are also available to countries outside Europe, the latter does not have tracking and has no option to include insurance, if no price is quoted in the listing please email for a quote.

Packaging

All items are professionally packed in double wall cardboard boxes, for further protection we use polystyrene chips, bubble-wrap and sometimes shredded paper.  Postage and packaging charges are kept to a minimum with no charge for the cost of packaging materials.

Sometimes it is necessary to partially dismantle a chandelier for packaging, if we do this printed instructions will be provided for re-assembly.

Returns

We describe all our items as accurately as possible. In the unlikely event we have mis-described an item we will refund you in full upon safe return of the item. We pack all our items extremely well and damage is a very rare occurance. If an item is damaged we will send replacement parts free of charge or refund you upon safe return of the item to us. If an item is damaged please contact us immediately before returning it. We do not refund the cost of return shipping.

Wiring

The majority of our lights or chandeliers are re-wired but some may be original or have been partially re-wired, please check the individual item description. Items which have been re-wired are suitable for use in the UK, Europe, the USA, Canada and Australia. Unless otherwise stated they are earthed, in countries such as the USA and some European countries where an earth is not required simply disregard the green/yellow earth wire or cut it off. All our lights are in working order but in common with all antique/vintage lighting they must be professionally tested for electrical safety before use.

Light bulbs are not supplied with any of our lights.
