Late 19th Century brass cased pocket altimeter/barometer.
Plastic bag pressure tested & works perfectly with excellent pointer movement.
Condition is excellent with no dings or dents at all.
Bezel rotates perfectly & smoothly & lens has a circular magnifer intergrated into it.
Pointer adjusts with back screw.
Black japanned case finish shows some light natural wear only.
Incised silvered dial bears the makers name: Bourgeois, 27 Rue Des Pyramides, Paris.
Outer leather case is in very good condition with interior velvet & silk lining, strong hinge & excellent snappy action on the catch.
Size is 2 1/4 inches diameter, outer case is 2 5/8inches diameter.
A superb pocket barometer/altimeter with no reserve.
