Seguso Murano/Sommerso Organic Glass Vase - Flavio Poli

Description
Here is a wonderful large and heavy 1950/60's Venetian glass stem vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This piece is attributed to Seguso Vetri d'Arte, and probably designed by the renowned Italian designer Flavio Poli. In a stunning combination of blue glass cased in Vaseline/Uranium green glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian Sommerso technique. The small amounts of Uranium in the glass cause this vase to glow a brilliant bright green in UV light, and it even glows brightly in normal sunlight! A fabulous item, in a wonderful organic shape, it catches the light beautifully. Would make an excellent display piece.

Measures approx 14.25 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition
Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a couple of very faint, small surface scratches, hardly noticable at all.
