Mintons (Minton) Majolica Glazed Tile Of
Tintern Abbey A/F

Large 12"(305mm) x 6"(153mm) tile of Tintern Abbey.

The surface is well crazed and there is a repair to the top left hand corner. This tile appears to have come from a fireplace as it is sooty to the reverse and the crazing would appear to be caused by exposure to heat.

Impressed 'MINTONS' to the reverse and has the impressed 'Globe' mark as well.
