Art Nouveau Daum-Nancy Centerpiece






This auction features a gorgeous signed Daum-Nancy glass centerpiece . . . perhaps a bowl, this piece typifies the art nouveau period with its stylized, curvilinear form.  In fact it appears to be designed to pick up light in such a way that it looks like an ice sculpture.  This bowl served as a dining room table centerpiece for many years.

This thick, heavy piece is free of any chips or cracks, and only has superficial surface scratching here and there - nothing remarkable.  The bowl measures 21 inches long and 5 inches wide.  "Daum France" is etched toward the base of this piece with a little cross hatch mark between the words.
 
This striking piece weighs just over 8 pounds.  Due to its unusual dimensions and the need to provide plenty of cushioning, we will ship domestically only via FedEx for a flat rate of $20.00.  International bidders may request a quote.
